Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Test Rig & Component Design Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.
Duties:
Vehicle and Rig Test Operations forms the backbone of our client's internal vehicle test and development capability, and is responsible for a wide and diverse range of activities including Structural and Durability Test, Body Rig Test, Road Load Data, Analytical Facilities, NVH, Climatic Test, and Safety Test.
The Facility & Technology Development Team are responsible for the design and delivery of facility components, test rigs and the infrastructure required in support of the core areas delivering physical test plans.
The area is also responsible for the development and delivery of key new facilities, technology, infrastructure and strategy for the wider business, project leading from concept through to delivery.
The role will see the associate lead the design and delivery of bespoke test rigs and fixtures in support of the core cycle plan across all the Engineering Labs test areas. These rigs will vary from component to system level or full vehicle testing.
