The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) is responsible for providing secure and effective communications and information technology (IT) services to NATO\'s member countries and its partners. The agency was established in 2012 and is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. The NCIA provides a wide range of services, including:
* Cyber Security: The NCIA provides advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect NATO\'s communication networks and information systems against cyber threats.
* Command and Control Systems: The NCIA develops and maintains the systems used by NATO\'s military commanders to plan and execute operations.
* Satellite Communications: The NCIA provides satellite communications services to enable secure and reliable communications between NATO forces.
* Electronic Warfare: The NCIA provides electronic warfare services to support NATO\'s mission to detect, deny, and defeat threats to its communication networks.
* Information Management: The NCIA manages NATO\'s information technology infrastructure, including its databases, applications, and servers.
Overall, the NCIA plays a critical role in ensuring the security and effectiveness of NATO\'s communication and information technology capabilities.
The program
Assistance and Advisory Service (AAS)
The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is NATO’s principal C3 capability deliverer and CIS service provider. It provides, maintains and defends the NATO enterprise-wide information technology infrastructure to enable Allies to consult together under Article IV, and, when required, stand together in the face of attack under Article V. To provide these critical services, in the modern evolving dynamic environment the NCI Agency needs to build and maintain high performance-engaged workforce. The NCI Agency workforce strategically consists of three major categorises: NATO International Civilians (NIC)\'s, Military (Mil), and Interim Workforce Consultants (IWC)\'s. The IWCs are a critical part of the overall NCI Agency workforce and make up approximately 15 percent of the total workforce.

Role Duties And Responsibilities
* Data Entry Management
o Discusses data entry operations needs of major or primary clients.
o Identifies the types of data processed in the business unit.
o Describes the major activities of data entry staff.
o Names internal or external publications and sources of information.
* Distribution Centre Management - GCF
o Participates in distribution network analysis and network modelling activities.
o Manages all aspects of one or more distribution centres.
o Continues to mechanize distribution centre activities.
o Explains and walks through a complete distribution centre network; participates in design.
o Assesses alternative distribution designs and considerations for demand and source locations.
o Implements tools for sharing inventory and distribution information with other computer systems.
* Inventory Management - GCF
o Coordinates daily work of inventory management for different locations within a facility or a supply network.
o Devises standard inventory management benchmarks to improve the processes.
o Ensures that the inventory is at an appropriate level and meets both internal and external requirements.
o Provides guidance on inventory management for a specific product group or location.
o Applies systems and processes to identify and coordinate inventory requirements; resolves conflicts.
o Reviews reports used for inventory management to find out related problems.
* Logistics Management – GCF
o Develops and analyses logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory.
o Manages logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.
o Implements and maintains monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
o Works with historical, legislative and practical issues associated with domestic freight.
o Participates in contract negotiations and interfaces with selected carriers necessary to maintain expected levels of service.
o Consults on all major logistics processes, their interactions and operational requirements.
* Supply Chain Management - GCF
o Quantifies and evaluates benefits and risks of various supply chain strategies and approaches.
o Participates in joint planning, process design/redesign with clients and partners.
o Monitors the complete supply chain management process.
o Manages supply chain finance activities and measurements of effectiveness.
o Consults on supply chain network design projects or processes.
o Advises others on capacity issues at various points in the supply chain.
Essential Skills, Experience And Certifications
* Higher vocational training or secondary education.
* 3 years of experience in Supply, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as ERP oracle based systems
* Basic knowledge of safety protocols and equipment handling
