At Medivet Alfreton, you’ll be part of a large, supportive team consisting of ten vets, an experienced head nurse, twelve nurses, and five receptionists, all dedicated to providing the best care possible.
Many of our vets hold or are working towards certificates in areas such as dermatology, surgery, internal medicine, emergency & critical care, and ophthalmology. The practice is well-equipped with six consult rooms, separate dog and cat wards, three sterile theatres, dedicated diagnostic suites, dental facilities, digital x-ray, two staff rooms, and more. Our hospital is committed to maintaining high standards and delivering excellent care to clients and patients alike.
This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term opportunity; however, part-time applications are welcome, and we are flexible where possible—please let us know what works for you.

Role Accountabilities:

* Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures.
* Provide outstanding care and clear updates to clients about their patients.
* Maintain professional excellence, adhering to high standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.
* Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans with clear cost estimates.
* Engage, mentor, and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilizing them effectively.
* Complete clinical handovers and coordinate patient transfers for out-of-hours or enhanced care needs.
* Support and share clinical best practices within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
Your Skills and Experience:
* RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
* Experience delivering exceptional care to patients and clients.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Demonstrated clinical leadership skills.
* Experience supporting nurse consultations and schedule 3 procedures, understanding their impact on clinic performance.
* Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve the best outcomes.
