Our multi-award-winning organisation is looking to recruit a Relief Housekeeping Assistant to join our Hospitality team. This role may include some weekend working.
The role of Housekeeping Assistant involves delivering Hospitality Services within our Campus, Care Homes, and Community Centres to high standards.
This post is for bank staff to cover absences on an as-needed basis, on a zero-hours contract. Shifts are from 7am to 2:30pm or 10:30am to 7pm, 5 days out of 7.
What you will be doing
You will play a key role in ensuring we deliver excellent service to our service users, creating an inviting and pleasant environment. Your responsibilities include:
* Delivering housekeeping activities to the highest standard, maintaining cleanliness across Jewish Care
* Ensuring safe and hygienic working practices
* Supporting the wider hospitality teams with events and festivals
* Providing support with laundry duties, including distribution, washing, ironing, and preparation
* Following Infection Control procedures
* Inspecting, monitoring, recording, and reporting on products, appliances, and consumables
* Ensuring waste disposal in accordance with the Waste Disposal Policy
* Reporting hazards or maintenance issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have:
* Previous experience in a housekeeping environment, working independently and in a team
* COSHH training and a current Accredited Infection Control Certificate or willingness to be trained
* Cleaning experience in a similar environment with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
* An understanding of the challenges and sensitivities involved in supporting vulnerable people
