Job Summary
The EPR Data Consultant will work alongside our International Compliance Advisors/Consultants who act as the customer facing touchpoint, to ensure all international data submissions are submitted to a high standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for manipulating and collating final data submissions under a variety of different country regulations, including but not limited to, waste packaging, waste electrical and electronics (WEEE), waste batteries and textiles. With support from International Compliance Advisors/Consultants, they will quickly develop a good knowledge of the relevant environmental waste compliance regulations, ensuring that all international data obligations are met for accounts.
The candidate will work closely with the Compliance Advisors/Consultants and will maintain a good knowledge of the relevant account in order to ensure data submitted to the relevant authorities complies with legal requirements and regulations. They will also work together to ensure that the customer is receiving a high level of service overall.
The ideal candidate will be confident working in both a busy team environment and on their own initiative. As a newly developed team, this will be an exciting opportunity to develop and contribute towards a rapidly growing Valpak service.

Management Of Data For Allocated Accounts
1. Work alongside the customer facing account manager to ensure that international compliance data is accurate and submitted on time
2. Work with the UK data team to ensure all data submissions are completed to a high standard
3. Ensure that all required environmental data (including but not limited to weights information) is collated appropriately
4. Ensure data received from customer contains necessary information
5. May involve some telephone/email support to suppliers
Data Cleansing And Maintenance
6. Become an expert in utilising in-house software system (EPIC) which inputs and analyses weights information
7. Manipulate data into relevant format for each country/regulation
8. Use various tools to consistently check and improve on the accuracy of international data
9. Use data skills to provide useful information for accounts such as swings analysis and trends
Maintain a strong knowledge of the international environmental regulations across a variety of countries
10. Work alongside the Compliance Advisors/Consultants to understand and maintain a strong knowledge of data requirements and scoping in relevant countries
11. Develop and maintain a good knowledge of activities and obligations for relevant accounts
12. Perform data checks for all accounts, to ensure all submissions are as accurate as possible and consistently improved
Contribute to consistently improving and innovating the International Data Service

Skills
16. Advanced IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel (VBA or other coding knowledge desirable)
