Electrical Operations Manager
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £50,000 + benefits
A leading organisation within the safety and compliance sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to oversee field-based operations, lead engineering teams, and ensure high-quality service delivery across multiple contracts. This role will play a key part in maintaining operational excellence, driving performance, and ensuring all work is completed in line with industry standards and Health & Safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day leadership and support to a team of electrical engineers.
* Maintain high Health & Safety standards across all sites and ensure full compliance with company procedures and legislation.
* Oversee the delivery of electrical projects, attend client meetings, and support the mobilisation of new and existing contracts.
* Monitor and enhance first-time fix rates, productivity, and overall service performance.
* Manage timesheets, engineer performance, stock levels, and vehicle compliance.
* Offer first-line technical guidance and basic IT support to field teams.
* Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and coordinate required training.
* Assist with recruitment, workforce planning, forecasting, and performance management processes.
Requirements
* SMSTS or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
* Proven experience leading engineering teams within an electrical or related field.
* City & Guilds Level 2 & Level 3 Electrical Installations.
* Strong understanding of BS7671 regulations (18th Edition preferred).
* Confident IT skills and a full UK driving licence.
