Compass Group UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Facilities Contract Manager to lead the delivery of integrated soft FM services at a prestigious government site in Central London. This is a high‑profile role requiring strong leadership, commercial expertise, and a commitment to operational excellence within a secure and sensitive environment.
Working at one of the most important buildings in the country, you will oversee a wide range of facilities services, ensuring the highest standards of performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved.
Security & Vetting Requirements
Due to the nature of this location, this role involves working in a highly sensitive, secure environment. Successful candidates must be able to pass enhanced government security vetting. These checks are mandatory to ensure the integrity, safety, and security of the site and its operations.
Your Role & Responsibilities
* Manage the Contract – Lead the full lifecycle of the FM contract, ensuring hard and soft services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
* Drive Operational Excellence – Implement best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives across facilities services.
* Stakeholder Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, senior stakeholders, and internal support teams.
* Commercial Performance – Own the financial performance of the contract, managing budgets, forecasts, and cost control to deliver agreed outcomes.
* Health, Safety & Compliance – Ensure full compliance with statutory, contractual, and company health & safety requirements at all times.
* Lead & Develop Teams – Motivate, develop, and inspire operational teams and subcontractors to deliver high performance and engagement.
* Risk & Change Management – Identify operational risks and manage change effectively in a complex, secure environment.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a Facilities Management or Contract Management role, ideally within a complex or regulated environment.
* Strong leadership capability with experience managing multi-disciplinary FM teams.
* Sound commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and P&L.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience driving change, improvement, and service innovation.
* A proactive, professional, and client-focused approach.
