Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provide internal assistance to external field sales teams for tasks such as quoting, sampling, forecasting, and tracking transfer business to Asia.
* Conduct regular reviews and analyses of quote, sample, and design registration activities, and follow up on or qualify key business opportunities, collaborating with: a. Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and outside field sales. b. Local sales offices of distribution partners in the region, under the guidance of RSMs.
* Support RSMs and Field Application Engineers (FAEs) by delivering accurate and informative sales reports, facilitating efficient creation activities, and resolving issues as needed. This includes: Analysing distributor sales reports in comparison to historical data or provided forecasts and addressing significant lost opportunities and unexpected sales wins.
* Conduct business reviews at distribution offices upon request from RSMs to monitor ongoing business activities.
Key Responsibilities and Performance Metrics:
* Identifying and securing key new business opportunities.
* Achieving closure rates for identified opportunities.
* Generating and managing overall distribution sales revenue.
Travel Requirements:
* Regularly attend review meetings with the sales team, primarily based in the Manchester Office.
* Attend meetings with distribution partners across Europe on an as-needed basis.
The Successful Applicant
* Adept team player with the ability to inspire and foster enthusiasm within the team.
* Proficient in both written and spoken English.
* Proficiency in at least one other major European language, preferably from Southern Europe.
* Strong analytic skills, especially in Excel, enabling effective data analysis and reporting.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Self-motivated and self-driven with an independent work style.
* Accountable, objective-oriented, and focused on achieving success.
* Dedicated to taking ownership of tasks and seeing them through to completion.PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND (educational and professional/technical qualifications; work experience, special requirements, personal factors, etc.)
* minimum 2 year's experience in B2B (business to business) environment
* Several year's experience in a fulfilment function (inside sales, customer service or planning) at a manufacturer or distributor or semiconductor or other electronic components
