CNC Miller/ Programmer
£15-£18.50 per hour
Mon- Fri
Early finish Friday - Overtime available
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Miller/ Programmer to join our clients dynamic team in the heart of Birmingham with excellent transport links and working hours. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs for our Mill machines to produce high-quality precision parts.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about machining and have a strong background in CNC Milling and programming.
CNC Miller/ Programmer Responsibilities:
* Develop CNC programs for Milling machines based on engineering drawings, specifications, and job orders. (CAD/CAM)
* Set up and operate CNC Milling machines, ensuring proper tooling, fixturing, and workpiece alignment.
* Conduct thorough testing and simulation of CNC programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and enhance productivity.
* Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC Milling machines.
CNC Miller/ Programmer Requirements:
* Proven experience as a CNC Milling Programmer or similar role.
* Proficiency in CNC miller/ programmer languages; Heidenhain
* Strong knowledge of Milling machine operations, including setup, tooling, and workpiece alignment.
* Familiarity with precision measurement tools and techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Good communication and teamwork abilities.
