Development Manager (Delivery)

Hafod is seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of housing schemes — from land-led developments to refurbishments and S106 acquisitions. Key Responsibilities
1. Lead end-to-end delivery of housing projects from feasibility to post-completion.
2. Ensure schemes meet programme, budget, quality, and compliance targets.
3. Champion high standards in housing design and delivery aligned with WDQR standards and net zero goals.
4. Manage funding applications, planning strategies, and statutory consents.
5. Provide strategic leadership to Project Managers and Quality Officers.
6. Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and community engagement.
7. Represent Hafod in strategic forums and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
What We’re Looking For
8. Degree or equivalent in a construction or development-related field.
9. Proven experience delivering housing schemes via JCT Design & Build contracts.
10. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
11. Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets over £5m.
12. Knowledge of Welsh Government housing policy and funding mechanisms (desirable).
13. Passion for delivering high-quality, sustainable homes that make a difference.
