Role Description
This is a permanent role for a Supervising Social Worker at Happy Hearts Foster Care. Based in Birmingham, this hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home for certain tasks. The individual will oversee and support foster carers, ensuring they provide the best possible care for children and young people. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, providing ongoing supervision, delivering training, liaising with relevant agencies, and ensuring compliance with fostering regulations and policies. The role encourages collaboration and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with foster families and the wider team.
Qualifications
* Professional Social Work qualifications and registration with the appropriate regulatory body
* Experience in child protection, family support, or fostering services
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively support and supervise foster carers
* Ability to conduct effective assessments and manage documentation for regulatory compliance
* Knowledge and understanding of fostering frameworks, regulations, and safeguarding procedures
* Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases and responsibilities
* Proficiency in using technology for remote work and case management systems
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and promoting an inclusive environment for all
* A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
