We are a leading youth homelessness charity based in the Southwest, working with over 1,500 young people. At 1625ip we are driven by Social Justice and Passion: we strive to do something that matters and take pride in seeing the results of our work in social outcomes and improving young people’s lives. How we work At 1625ip our work is rooted in Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP). Our Psychologically Informed Framework shapes how we build relationships, use our spaces, and support young people. This means we prioritise safety, trust, collaboration, and understanding the impact of trauma in every interaction. You don’t need prior experience in PIE or TIP to apply - we’ll support you to learn and develop these approaches in the role. What you will be doing: By being empathetic and truly understanding the needs of homeless young people, young people leaving care, and the barriers they face, you will develop individual support plans and provide 1-2-1 support for a small caseload to achieve independence. Using your knowledge and creativity, you will help young people maximise their income and manage their rent accounts, including addressing any arrears, reinforcing a positive rent culture. Through your enthusiasm, you will be able to work on your own initiative but also alongside your team, ensuring a safe and thriving home environment for young people. By being well organised, efficient, and effective you will undertake a host of housing management tasks, including preparing properties for letting, supporting young people in entering and leaving our service and Health and safety checks to ensure the safety of young people, colleagues and the project. Using your organisation and IT skills, you will ensure a variety of records are kept up to date. By being flexible, you will work to a set rota, including evenings and weekends including lone working shifts. Applying or developing skills and knowledge of Supported Accommodation Regulations to support Care Experienced young people You will be in the Charles England House team and your line manager will be the Charles England House Team Leader.
