We are looking for a Support Worker to join our supported living service in South Birmingham, West Midlands.
Brief Job Description:
1. The Support Worker will support vulnerable older people in their own homes, providing support in a person-centered way, including activities such as shopping, cooking, assisting with personal care, and administering medication.
2. You will need to maintain care, support, and management skills as detailed within the individual care plans and risk assessments.
3. Record keeping and communication skills are essential to ensure effective teamwork to meet people’s needs.
4. You will be required to undertake training and development as necessary to develop your career.
5. Ideally, you will have previous experience working within a residential care or supported living setting with vulnerable people and hold NVQ Level 2 in care or an equivalent qualification. However, applications from candidates with no experience who can demonstrate caring qualities and values are welcome.
6. The Support Worker will have a responsibility to deliver our service in accordance with standards agreed with the Registered Manager, Registered Provider, relevant regulations, and best practices.
