OK, cards on the table… This isn’t a standard Accounts Senior role. It’s a mix of Management Accounts, Book-Keeping & Payroll. We’ve given it this job title, because we’d like someone to have a Practice background. Sneaky, eh? Here’s why we’re a nice place to be: * A lovely, friendly team, with zero office politics. * Plenty of flexibility (work from home some days each week). * Trust and autonomy to get the job done without micro-management. Here’s what we do: We aren’t an accountancy practice, but there are definite comparisons. We invest in start-up recruitment businesses and provide lots of central functions across that group of businesses. One of those functions is looking after each business’ back-office: Bookkeeping / Management Accounts / Weekly Payrolls for Temporary Workers / Monthly Payrolls for Internal Teams. We’re only a small team (10 of us). That includes a finance team of 5 bloody lovely people, and we’re looking for number 6. You’ll have plenty of support from our Finance and Payroll Managers, and work closely with them and the wider team. In an ideal world, here’s what you might look like: * Marvellous at the accounts stuff * Awesome at the payroll stuff * Good with people * Sage experience and generally comfortable with technology * Experience in an Accountancy Practice However… * We get that you’re likely to be stronger in one area. So, for example, if you have the accounts experience, and haven’t done much payroll (but are open to that becoming a bigger part of your job), please do still get in touch. * The ‘good with people’ bit is non-negotiable though. You won’t be on the phone a lot, but would need to be comfortable handling queries from partners, employees, temps, etc. It’s probably a full-time role (Monday to Friday – fairly standard office hours, with flexibility around specific times), but we could also consider someone part-time.
