NHS Lanarkshire is committed to delivering high-quality, innovative health and social care that is person-centred. An exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Physiotherapist has arisen within the NHS Lanarkshire physiotherapy team. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team.

As a new physiotherapist in NHS Lanarkshire, our commitment to you is that we will provide the experience, support and opportunity to develop the high quality knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to deliver our organisational vision.

We are looking for motivated physiotherapists to join our North and South rotational teams, which work across:

* Surgical & Critical Care
* Care of the Elderly
* Medical
* Trauma & Elective Orthopaedics
* Neuro Stroke Rehabilitation
* Musculoskeletal Out-patients
* Community Rehabiltiation Teams
* Brain Injury
* Rheumatology
* Obstetrics & Pelvic Health
* Paediatrics
* Home First Team/Hospital Assessment Team


In This Key Role, You Will:

* Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work including direct and indirect patient care.
* Assess capacity, gain valid consent and have the ability to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent.
* Act independently to assess, analyse and provide a clinical diagnosis for individual patients to determine their need for physiotherapy intervention.
* Act independently to plan, implement, evaluate, treat and progress patient care to maximise their rehabilitation potential – including decision making regarding discharge from care.


What You’ll Bring:

* Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
* The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Excellent time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology
