The surgery is located in the centre of High Wycombe and delivers a primary health care service to over 11,200 patients, through our friendly, professional and experienced GP, nursing, wider clinical staff and administrative teams.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a part time receptionist to join our team of 8 receptionists / administrators, in providing an efficient and caring front-line service to patients and other callers to the practice.
About us
We are a friendly & supportive training practice. Our team includes 5 x GP Partners, 2 x Salaried GP's, 4 x Nurse Practitioners, a Practice Nurse, a Health Care Assistant and a Pharmacist. All supported by an excellent administration team. We are actively involved with our PCN where we have the use of a range of healthcare professionals including First contact Physios, Paramedics, Pharmacists, Social Prescribing Link workers, Care Co-ordinators and a Mental Health Practitioner.

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic, hardworkingand motivated Medical Receptionist / Patient Advisor to join our dedicated"Front Line Team".
Knowledge of General Practice and the EMIS Clinical Systemwould be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Applicants must have excellent Communication and Customer ServiceSkills, basic IT Skills and have the ability to work as part of an existingteam in a calm and professional manner. You will be involved in all aspects of reception area work which will includes administrative tasks.
The job can be very pressured and is certainly not for the fainthearted.
You would be required to work a shift pattern of Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings - 07:45 to 13:00. These are the ideal shifts we are advertising but we are happy to negotiate alternative shift patterns if required. Please let us know at the application stage if it differs to the above.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English (C or above).
* Knowledge of General Practice and the EMIS Clinical System would be desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Experience
* Must have excellent communication skills, customer services skills, basic IT skills and have the ability to work as part of an existing team in a calm and professional manner.
* Experience of working in a GP Practice.
