Job Description: MAP - Social Worker Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated MAP (Multi-Agency Partnership) Social Worker to join our diverse team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable individuals, particularly those involved with unauthorised situations, ensuring their safety, well-being, and access to appropriate services. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of individuals and families involved in unauthorised circumstances to identify their needs and risks. Collaborate with multi-agency partners including healthcare, education, law enforcement, and community organisations to develop tailored intervention plans. Provide direct support and advocacy for clients, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights upheld. Monitor and review case progress, adapting strategies to meet changing needs. Maintain accurate and confidential case records in accordance with legal and organisational standards. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery and team interactions. Participate in regular training and professional development to stay informed about best practices and legislation related to unauthorised issues. Engage with local communities to raise awareness and build trust. Qualifications Degree in Social Work or equivalent professional qualification. Registration with the relevant social work regulatory body. Proven experience working with individuals in unauthorised or complex social situations. Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and relevant legislation. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills. Ability to work collaboratively within multi-agency settings. Commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion. Resilience and the capacity to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism. Day-to-Day Conduct home visits and face-to-face meetings with clients to assess needs and provide support. Attend multi-agency meetings to coordinate care plans and share relevant information. Document case notes and prepare reports to inform decision-making. Respond promptly to crises or urgent situations, ensuring client safety. Participate in supervision and team meetings to reflect on practice and share knowledge. Engage in outreach activities to connect with undeserved populations.
