Support Students in Wakefield as PE Support – Make a Real Difference Every Day
Location: Wakefield – WF4
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time
GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education (PE) Support to join a friendly and inclusive school community in Wakefield (WF4). This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about physical education and supporting young people in developing confidence, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards sport.
As PE Support, you will assist the PE department in delivering a variety of sports and physical activities, ensuring lessons run smoothly and students remain engaged and motivated. Your support will help create a safe, energetic and encouraging environment where students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities of PE Support:
* Assist PE teachers with the delivery of lessons and activities
* Support students during sports sessions, ensuring participation and positive behaviour
* Help organise equipment, resources, and lesson setups
* Provide one-to-one or small-group support where required
* Encourage teamwork, focus, and physical confidence
* Support students with additional needs during PE activities
Requirements for PE Support:
* Experience working with children or young people in a school, coaching or youth setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Confidence in assisting with a range of physical activities and sports
* A proactive, caring and supportive attitude
* A secure understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
