Band: C
Salary: £28,000 - £34,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience
Contract: Fixed Term Contract / Attachment for 6 months
Job Purpose
As a journalist in the English Language Output, you will be a key part of our programmes and online services, mainly based in television news on BBC Wales Today, a popular programme in Wales. The role involves working on bulletins throughout the day, including weekends, and collaborating with colleagues across radio and online platforms. There will be opportunities for training and to explore other areas of journalism.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce bulletins for Wales Today across various shifts, including weekends.
* Collaborate with reporters and correspondents to present stories engagingly and informatively.
* Develop your own stories for broadcast and potentially undertake studio presenting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Experience in news broadcasting or online journalism.
* Understanding of issues affecting Wales.
* Ability to make editorial decisions independently under tight deadlines.
