Job Description:
Weddings & Events Manager, overseeing a team of 2. Award winning venue with strong reputation and established business. £30,000 per annum plus bonus.
An overview of the venue includes:
* Luxury bedrooms refurbished to a superb standard with beautiful décor, many including stunning views and luxury bathrooms
* Function room that can seat 120 with stunning views
* Restaurant offering local, seasonal menus that change on a 3-month cycle offering the ‘Best of British’
* Outdoor dining area offering Al Fresco dining from April – September
* Cosy Lounge & Bar area
* Beautiful gardens ideal for corporate away days and weddings
What are we looking for?
As a Wedding & Events Manager, to successfully fill this role you must possess the attitudes, behaviours, skills and values that include:
1. Have ideally worked in a similar role within a wedding led hotel environment.
2. Have strong communication, reporting and admin and relationship building skills
3. Be able to negotiate – you convince with competence and charm and find solutions with which all parties are satisfied
4. Be commercially minded with high-level attention to detail
5. Good communicator – you are an eloquent and pleasant conversation partner
6. Strong IT literacy.
7. Help the team and manage them to drive new business from different market sectors.
8. Strong organisational skills and a sense of responsibility – you enjoy contributing to the team
9. Be self-disciplined and energetic;
10. A high standard of personal presentation with confident, professional and welcoming personality.
What will I be doing?
11. Lead and work with the Sales team to ensure all potential sales opportunities are identified and followed up
12. Maintaining existing customer relationships and driving new business
13. Identify client needs and providing proactive solutions
14. Keep all databases accurate and relevant to extract reports for measurement of opportunities and progress
15. Delivering best-practice in terms of customer service to ensure a seamless guest experience
16. Respond to enquiries within specified deadlines
17. Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring details of all meetings and events are delivered
18. Guide the team to organise, plan and sell with an eye for detail by creating function sheets
