We are currently seeking a permanent 18.5 hour Team Manager to co‑lead (alongside an existing, experienced Team Manager) the South (office base Shire Hall) Children with Disabilities Hub and support the ongoing operations of the county‑wide Children With Disabilities 0‑18 Service.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of social workers and support staff to ensure timely and high‑quality help and support for children and families.
* Oversee the allocation and prioritisation work with children and families, ensuring compliance with statutory timescales and organisational policies.
* Provide professional supervision, guidance, and support to team members, promoting continuous learning and development.
* Monitor performance and quality of practice, implementing improvements where necessary to maintain best practice standards.
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies and internal teams to deliver coordinated and effective services for children and families.
* Ensure safeguarding principles are embedded in all decision‑making and practice within the team.
* Contribute to service development and improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
* Manage resources effectively, including staff workload and budgets, to achieve service objectives.
Qualifications
Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration. The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers; for this role the Fluency Duty is required. The candidate must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
