HSCP Lead Pharmacist – Renfrewshire HSCP
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and innovative pharmacist to support and develop the delivery of pharmacy services within Renfrewshire HSCP. The post holder will be responsible for leading on pharmacy and prescribing matters and providing leadership and management to the HSCP practice pharmacy team. A key aspect of the post will be supporting implementation of the primary care improvement plan ensuring strategic alignment with local and national strategy. This also includes opportunity to lead on work at organisational level, currently focused on workforce development.
As a key member of the HSCP you will provide professional leadership, expert advice and risk management in the prescribing and utilisation of medicines to a wide range of professionals including GPs, non-medical prescribers, senior management and finance.
The post requires excellent leadership and management skills, with experience of influencing and managing change. This is an opportunity to progress your career in Primary Care working with the senior management team within the HSCP and colleagues across NHSGGC.
You will join a supportive team that includes central and peer professional support in combination with local HSCP management. A job plan across the four pillars of practice inclusive of clinical will be agreed with the post holder.
You will be a qualified pharmacist with substantial post qualification leadership and management experience and a relevant postgraduate clinical qualification. Royal Pharmaceutical Society membership is desirable.
