JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
This temporary position will provide general and specialized support to the Department of Global and Integrated Studies (DIGS) Department Head and Director of Financial Operations for the Global School.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Financial Operations Support
● Assist with expense report review.
● Setting up new hires and payments.
● Assist with producing financial reports.
● Assist with collecting data and communicating details around COBLA payments.
Department Administrative Support
● Prepare, file, and maintain confidential documents, including personnel records, contracts, annual reviews, tenure reviews, etc.
● Assist in scheduling/providing zoom links for meetings with DIGS department head and program directors schedule, disseminate agendas, and provide note-taking functions for department meetings.
● Provide support for organizing departmental meetings and events (flyers, listserv invites, WPI today/announcements, space, catering, guest support) Gathering, collating, presenting program/survey/ data/information as required.
● Organize and process course books and library book orders.
● Maintain and update DIGS website, announcements and displays
● Support departmental needs as they arise
● Room booking for PQPs and maintaining the calendar for 1-2 conference rooms in the project center.
● Oversee office equipment use and maintain supplies (copier, paper, other supplies).
● Ensure the delivery of incoming and outgoing mail.
Requirements:
● High school diploma or GED
● 1-2 years experience in an office setting
● Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and various related programs. Desired familiarity with Workday Finance suite.
 
Compensation: $18.00 per hour. This is a temporary full-time 37.5 hours per week assignment.
