Become a Trainee Teaching Assistant
No previous experience or qualifications are required — just a genuine desire to help and support children.
Vision for Education are delighted to offer a bespoke Trainee Teaching Assistant Programme, designed to support motivated individuals into the education sector. We work closely with our partner schools across South Liverpool to provide high-quality training alongside paid, on-the-job experience.
Following a successful interview and subject to safeguarding and identity checks, we will support you in securing a paid placement within a school, where you can develop your skills and confidence. You will also be supported in identifying your preferred specialist area, including EYFS, KS1, KS2, Secondary or SEND settings.
Before starting your placement, you will complete a comprehensive training programme delivered by Vision for Education and experienced education professionals, equipping you with the essential skills needed to succeed as a Teaching Assistant.
The Role:
Teaching Assistants play a vital role in supporting pupils and teachers across the school. Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting the class teacher during whole-class teaching
• Delivering small group interventions
• Providing 1:1 support to pupils to help them reach their full potential
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
