Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 plus benefits

Are you passionate about driving real change and helping organisations create a more sustainable future? We are seeking an Environment & Sustainability Advisor to join our team and lead the charge in making sustainability an integral part of our operations.
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of developing and implementing environmental and sustainability initiatives across the business. You will work closely with project teams to integrate sustainable practices, ensuring that we are continually reducing our environmental impact while adhering to the latest legislation and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sustainability Leadership: Champion sustainable practices within the organisation and help embed environmental thinking into daily operations.
* Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to environmental standards, regulations, and legislation. Monitor and ensure compliance on all projects.
* Risk Mitigation: Provide guidance on environmental risk factors, such as waste, water usage, pollution, and ecology, to ensure the safety and sustainability of our projects.
* Training & Support: Conduct site inspections, deliver training on environmental best practices, and provide support to teams on implementing key sustainability initiatives such as carbon reduction, waste management, and biodiversity net gain.
* Reporting & Analysis: Collect, analyse, and report environmental data, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
About You:
We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for environmental issues and sustainability who is ready to make an impact from day one. The ideal candidate will bring the following:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in environmental management, sustainability, or a related field, ideally in the construction or infrastructure sectors.
* Knowledge of environmental risk mitigation on construction projects, including waste management, water conservation, pollution prevention, and biodiversity.
* A degree in an environmental or sustainability discipline.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver engaging environmental briefings.
* Competence in Microsoft Office applications and experience in collecting and analysing environmental data.
* A full UK driving licence .
Desirable:
* Membership with ISEP or an equivalent body.
* Internal environmental auditor qualification .
