Offer description

Shared Lives / Supported Accommodation Coordinator

We are looking for a Supported Lodgings / Shared Lives Coordinator to provide coordination and oversight to hosts/carers and placements. You will play a key role in matching young people and individuals to suitable hosts/carers, supporting placements to thrive, and ensuring services are safe, compliant, and responsive to individual needs. This position requires flexibility, creativity, and strong organisational skills. You will work closely with hosts/carers, young people/individuals, and partner agencies, supporting positive relationships and helping to develop meaningful opportunities such as skill‑building, community access, and daily living support.

"Be aspirational and think beyond the obvious to enable people to reach their full potential." Are you passionate about breaking down barriers to support people to live a more independent and fulfilling life? We are currently looking for a highly motivated person to join our highly successful, Shared Lives/Supported Accommodation Team to deliver excellent support to our carers/hosts and individuals. Whether you are looking for a rewarding role enabling vulnerable people to achieve their goals or an opportunity to gain skills and experience in the health and social care sector, becoming a Shared Lives/Supported Accommodation Coordinator could be the perfect position for you. You will be able to demonstrate being proactive in your approach to care and a willingness to adapt and change as we develop with new innovations and challenges within the care sector. While previous experience is preferred, it is not essential as we are looking for people with the right values to join our team.

Key Attributes

* Someone who really wants to make a positive difference.
* Someone who is committed to the role, recognising that the individuals we support and their families depend on the services we provide.
* Someone who is proactive and creative, prepared to think beyond the obvious to meet the needs of the people they’re supporting in an enjoyable and meaningful way, improving opportunities, independent living skills, community involvement and sensory and communication needs.
* Someone who is flexible and adaptable, continually developing and improving service activities and sessions to meet the needs of the people they’re supporting, and who can adapt quickly to changing needs.
* Someone who can build an honest, trusting and engaging relationship with the people they’re supporting, as this is essential for the person to get the most benefit from their sessions.
* Someone who is committed to personal development, both for their own benefit and for the benefit of the people they’re supporting.

Supported Lodgings and Shared Lives schemes support young people (care leavers) and individuals with additional care and support needs to live safely and independently within family and community‑based placements. Our focus is on person‑centred support that promotes choice, independence, and positive life outcomes.
