We’re recruiting!
Join us as a Learning Disability Support Worker and help build a future where learning disabled people live the best life possible. We know that life can be complicated for everybody, but some of us are stopped from working towards our dreams. Many learning disabled people aren’t heard about the support they’d like, and some won’t get to decide what they do for work or how to spend or save their money. Many won't get to try out new hobbies they’d love to try, but you can change all that.
Join our growing team in Kingston, and get all the training you need to become a confident Support Worker. If you feel like our values - Kind, Diverse, Positive, and Visionary - are a good match to your values, then we’ve got lots in common already. Come on board and support learning disabled adults with those very values to develop skills, achieve their life goals, and thrive in your community.

What you’ll be doing
You will support adults in our 1-1 Service to take part in activities that help them learn new skills, socialise, and potentially work towards employment. Some activities are facilitated in our busy building, which includes our own canteen and café. We are looking for someone with skills in art, music, drama, horticulture, cookery, and IT, with experience in planning and facilitating sessions with meaningful outcomes for learning disabled adults with varying abilities.
You will need competent computer skills to plan and record activities. We also access a timetable of community activities such as gym sessions, swimming, and dancing. We use public transport and our own vehicles, and the ability to push a wheelchair is required. The most important qualities for this role are enthusiasm and the ability to create a positive rapport with the people we support, in an environment where they are given every opportunity to achieve their goals.
We can’t wait to meet you at our Kingston services!
