Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Technician to undertake Soils, Concrete and Bituminous testing and sampling on site at various locations and in the laboratory based in Bridgend
2. Weekend working will be required from time to time.
3. Plan and manage your work
4. Provide effective input to projects consistent with your skills and experience
5. Contribute day to day in the effective operation of the laboratory by working with and supporting more senior staff
6. Identify your internal and external training needs
7. Contribute to the promotion of the company’s services
8. Participate in the general development of customer goodwill
9. Deliver tasks for review in a timely manner and accurate state
10. Ensure that the company isn’t exposed to unacceptable liabilities
11. Comply with all health and safety requirements
12. Report any unsafe acts or incidents immediately
13. Ensure compliance with company rules and procedures
14. Seek advice / clarification, where necessary, from senior staff
15. Report to the required standards in the appropriate format and on time
16. Adhere to best working practice and industry standards. Training and guidance to be provided.
Essential Professional/Technical Skills & Qualifications:
17. Experience in Insitu & Laboratory Testing Activities would be advantageous
18. The post holder will be expected to attend and pass internal and industry recognised external training courses. These may include but not be limited to, PTS, CCNSG, CSCS, CAT, First Aid and manual handling training.
19. UK Driving License
20. On the job training will be provided.

Salary & Benefits:
28. Salary - Up to £26,000 depending on experience
