Job Title: Amazon Ads & Retail Media Director

Purpose of the Role
As the Amazon Ads & Retail Media Director, you will have the product expertise to manage the delivery of our eCommerce and Retail Media proposition for a diverse range of clients across dentsu’s brands. You will report to the Total Commerce Partner and need to have an expert understanding of the ecommerce landscape, focusing on paid activity, with knowledge of organic activity and its benefits to clients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop strategies for clients to maximize success from Amazon and Retail Media activities.
2. Manage a team of three Managers and oversee a total team of 12+.
3. Serve as the senior escalation point for key Retail Media clients.
4. Create best practice processes to improve team efficiency and reduce errors.
5. Collaborate with partners and internal specialists to define and implement best practices.
6. Regularly audit internal accounts and identify areas for improvement.
7. Establish a clear team structure with defined reporting lines and responsibilities.
8. Build a team to support product growth within the business.
9. Lead training initiatives on Amazon and Retail Media to upskill staff.
10. Provide feedback on errors to address weaknesses and prevent revenue loss.
Qualifications + Skills
1. Experience working with platforms like Amazon Ads, Criteo, Citrus, etc.
2. 5+ years of experience in biddable channels.
3. Experience managing skilled teams.
4. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
5. Ability to assess and improve current capabilities and create a unified go-to-market approach.
6. Excellent stakeholder management skills.
