The Policy and Regulation Manager will support Psychiatry-UK’s Quality and Safety Department by ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining high standards across policy and procedural documentation. Reporting to the Associate Director of Clinical Governance, they will lead the development, review, and dissemination of policies, providing expert guidance and agile support across the organisation. The Policy and Regulation Manager will oversee a robust document control system and collaborate with teams to ensure all policies align with best practice and regulatory requirements. This is a home-based role (applicants must reside in the UK), though occasional travel may be required for face-to-face meetings at various locations within the UK. As our Policy and Regulation Manager you will: Lead the development and implementation of Psychiatry-UK’s policy and procedural document control framework Review, advise on, and ensure alignment of procedural documents with internal policy requirements Manage the approval, ratification, version control, and publication process for all policies Maintain a central register and tracking system for all procedural documents Monitor review dates and ensure timely updates in collaboration with policy leads Notify staff of new or updated policies via internal communication channels Conduct horizon scanning for changes in legislation or national policy and escalate as needed Delegate administrative tasks where appropriate and ensure quality assurance of outputs Collaborate with clinical leads and teams to support the development of high-quality, compliant policies Provide guidance and support on policy queries and assist in document preparation Ensure data and document security through proper storage and encryption practices Manage and prioritise workload effectively, responding to shifting organisational priorities Participate in quarterly reporting and ongoing team development and training activities To succeed as our Policy and Regulation Manager, you will be: An effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively across teams and with a range of stakeholders. Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Educated to degree level or with equivalent experience in a healthcare organisation Evidence of continuing professional development Proven experience in developing and managing complex policies across care specialties or networks Skilled in coordinating policy analysis and aligning outcomes with business needs Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including regulators, on policy requirements Experience of chairing meetings and leading policy-focused group work Knowledge of governance frameworks and the role of policies within them Understanding of the healthcare policy landscape and clinical terminology Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Experience in the private healthcare industry Experience in remote or lone working environments Psychiatry UK: Supporting You We want you to enjoy your work while feeling healthy, happy, and appreciated.
