Occupational Therapist – Locality Occupational Therapy Services, City Wide
Salary: £39,129 – £46,023. Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy service within Assessment and Care Management.
EHSCP is undergoing a significant management re‑structure, aligning service delivery into distinct areas. This is an exciting time for the service as we undertake improvements to achieve better outcomes for people while creating a positive place to work. Occupational Therapists will play a pivotal role in delivering these ambitions, ensuring people are supported to live well and independently.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess needs, plan and deliver interventions, and support individuals to achieve their goals. • Promote independence, choice, and wellbeing through tailored practice. • Make complex and sensitive decisions, working collaboratively with colleagues, partners, and those we support. • Comply with governance and assurance mechanisms within the HSCP.
Qualifications & Experience
You must be a qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. You should have experience working autonomously and as part of a wider team. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills are essential.
Background Checks
This post involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check. An Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required for those who have been out of the UK for 3 months or more within the last 5 years. An unconditional offer will be contingent on satisfactory completion of these pre‑employment checks.
