Overview
We are looking for a creative and reliable volunteer to help us grow our online presence and raise awareness of our Nature & Wellbeing Activity Walks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating engaging content and wants to support a small community-focused CIC.
What difference will you make?
This role will help us strengthen our online presence, reach more people locally and beyond, and make it easier for families to discover and join our wellbeing walks. Consistent and engaging social media activity will directly support attendance, awareness, and the ongoing sustainability of our CIC.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone creative, organised, and experienced in managing social media content from idea to execution. The ideal volunteer will be able to communicate clearly and consistently across different platforms, and enjoy turning ideas into engaging posts.
Key qualities and experience include
* Strong written and visual communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging content
* Good understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
* Experience using Canva
* Basic understanding of social media analytics and what makes content effective
* Ability to plan, prioritise, and manage tasks independently
* Creative thinking with attention to detail and a strong sense of storytelling
* Interest in community wellbeing and alignment with the values of Wandering Emotions CIC

What will you be doing?
As Social Media & Marketing Coordinator, you will help manage and develop our social media channels to increase visibility, engagement, and participation in our activities.
Key responsibilities include
Social media management
* Planning and creating a simple content calendar
* Designing and posting engaging content (text, images, and short-form video)
* Writing clear and engaging captions aligned with our tone of voice
* Sharing updates about walks, events, and activities
* Responding to comments, messages, and general enquiries
* Encouraging engagement and building an active online community
Marketing and promotion support
* Helping promote upcoming walks and events across social platforms
* Supporting basic marketing campaigns to increase bookings and awareness
* Assisting with newsletters or simple promotional materials where needed
* Identifying opportunities to reach new audiences through partnerships or local community pages
Insights and improvement
* Monitoring basic social media analytics (reach, engagement, growth)
* Sharing simple monthly updates or observations on what content is working well
You will work closely with the Director in a small, friendly team. This is a flexible role where you can take initiative and help shape how we present ourselves online.
