Temporary HR Administrator – On-Site Newbury - £14.00 Per Hour + Holiday Pay **
This role is working for a lovely private school set in a beautiful rural setting. They are dedicated to creating a supportive and stimulating environment for students from early years through to Sixth Form. Reporting to the Bursar and working closely with the wider administrative/payroll team, the temporary HR Administrator will play a pivotal role in supporting day-to-day HR admin processes and procedures. This includes recruitment administration, DBS checks, compliance monitoring, and employee support, ensuring smooth operational processes in line with current policies and legislation.
Providing administrative support in all HR matters, including recruitment, onboarding, and leavers
Maintaining and updating HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Coordinating pre-employment checks including references and enhanced DBS checks, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment standards
Ensuring up-to-date maintenance of the Single Central Register and other statutory HR records
Managing incoming calls and emails, fielding queries professionally and directing them as appropriate
Assisting with visa sponsorship paperwork and Home Office compliance
You will have some prior experience in a busy HR administration role and have a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach. The ideal candidate will be happy to support with a back log of HR administration. Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications
