A major UK housebuilder with a strong pipeline of new developments across Scotland is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join their expanding Technical team. The Opportunity
As Senior Architectural Technician, you’ll act as a central technical coordinator—managing design information, liaising with consultants, and ensuring accurate, compliant, and build‑ready documentation is delivered across multiple developments.
You’ll be involved from early feasibility through to completion and handover, supporting live sites, attending development meetings, and ensuring all approvals and technical requirements are met on time.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and wants to influence the successful delivery of large‑scale housing projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate design information between internal teams and external consultants
* Manage technical documentation from feasibility to completion
* Ensure timely approvals and compliance with all regulatory requirements
* Support procurement with accurate tender information
* Provide technical support to live sites and attend development meetings
* Review drawings and information for accuracy, buildability, and commercial suitability
* Produce reports and contribute to project delivery targets
What We’re Looking For
* Experienced Architectural Technician (minimum 5 years in residential new build)
* Strong communicator with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant design/technical software
* Degree in Architecture/Architectural Technology or equivalent
* ARB/CIAT registration desirable
