JOB OVERVIEW
As Senior Product Developer, you will take ownership of product development, production, sourcing, collection planning and technical execution across our footwear category.
Working closely with the Creative Director, you will help translate creative vision into commercially successful, high-quality product. You will oversee departmental critical paths, manage key supplier relationships, and drive best-practice processes across development and production, while supporting the brand’s sustainability goals.
We’re looking for a detail-driven, proactive individual who enjoys ownership and thrives in a relaxed, entrepreneurial environment.
The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years’ experience in a similar role and be excited by the challenge of owning and growing DUKE + DEXTER footwear.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all Product Development, Production, Sourcing and Technical aspects of the footwear business. Working closely with and managing our external design partners and agents.
- Plan, develop and deliver four seasonal collections and capsules per year.
- Manage end-to-end technical product development, including CADs, tech packs, sample development, work-in-progress tracking, margin and progression through to bulk production.
- Oversee industrialisation and production.
- Source, onboard and manage suppliers.
- Own budgets, product costing and margin targets.
- Lead development of new footwear categories and silhouettes.
- Lead on linesheet creation, wholesale SMS samples and distribution to showrooms.
- Lead on quality control of all footwear, ensuring all product that leaves the factory is at an exceptionally high standard.
SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
- Act as main point of contact for key suppliers.
- Strengthen supplier base to balance price, quality and brand values.
- Conduct regular supplier visits.
CRITICAL PATH & DELIVERY
- Build and manage critical paths with the COO and Ops Manager.
- Maintain timelines using internal project management tools.
ABOUT YOU
- 5+ years’ experience in fashion as a footwear product developer
- Strong leadership and technical knowledge
- Excellent communication
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator essential)
- Strong Excel skills
