Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Bus Driver to operate passenger vehicles safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting SEN passengers to and from school. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a good understanding of vehicle maintenance.
Duties
* Safely operate buses along routes, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations
* Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, ensuring accessibility for all
* Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, checking for mechanical issues or safety hazards
* Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and any incidents during shifts
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers using clear language
* Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels and tyre pressure
* Report any vehicle malfunctions or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel
* Ensure the bus is kept clean and presentable at all times
Qualifications
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
* Mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle checks
* Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and adherence to road laws
* Excellent communication skills in English
* Previous experience in passenger transport or similar roles is advantageous
* Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
