About the role:
Connex Education are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a SEND High School and Specialist College in Southport who cater for pupils with Autism.
About the School:
This family-orientated School is the heart of the community and they cater for pupils aged 11-19 years. All staff work together to help break down barriers associated with Autism and provide pupils with an environment they can thrive in.
Assignment details:
This role will commence asap and will be for the remainder of the academic year. This is a full time role and will consist of working Monday-Friday 8.50am-3.15pm.

Person specification:
* Experience of supporting children or young adults with Autism in a School or residential setting
* Be able to provide pastoral support, build relationships with students and help them to be the best version of themselves.
* Able to communicate well and be patient as well as bring self-regulated and calm.
* Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
* Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
