Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to be a crucial part of a leading chartered accountancy practice? We're seeking a dedicated Outsourced Payroll Associate to join our team and support our payroll operations.
Responsibilities
1. Support the Payroll Manager in delivering efficient payroll and pension services, ensuring compliance with regulations.
2. Process payrolls from start to finish in accordance with current legislation, policies, and timelines, ensuring all transactions are approved appropriately.
3. Handle leavers, calculate holiday payments, PILON, and other termination payments.
4. Calculate absences including sickness, leave, and statutory payments.
5. Process other payments/deductions, including auto-enrolment, court orders, and contractual payments, ensuring audit and statutory requirements are met.
6. Update employee personal details and statutory changes such as P45, P46, P6, P9, student loan notices, and court orders.
7. Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive files.
8. Make ad-hoc payroll payments and respond to team queries.
9. Stay up-to-date with payroll legislation and internal policies.
10. Ensure payroll deadlines are met with high quality standards.
11. Process and pay payrolls on time, including pensions, PAYE/NI.
12. Keep employee files, policies, and procedures current and accurate.
13. Support payroll projects and monitor the payroll inbox for queries.
14. Perform additional payroll tasks to meet deadlines.
Experience
* At least 1 year of payroll experience.
* Forward-thinking, ambitious personality eager to learn and grow.
* Experience with payroll software.
