We support flexible working requests and have adopted a hybrid approach for most of our office-based roles. We ask employees to be present in the office at least three days per week.

JOB TITLE: MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

FPF1– Ithaca – 2/3 rota on 8-month fixed term contract

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Implementing planned and corrective maintenance on all mechanical/production equipment offshore, in a safe and competent manner, to safeguard the availability and operating condition so that production targets can be achieved.

2. Ensure essential mechanical equipment is maintained for maximum availability.

3. Interpret condition monitoring surveys and operating parameters of equipment identify early performance deterioration and take the necessary action to prevent plant shutdown.

4. Diagnose and rectify faults to enhance maximum availability.

5. Collect data and information required for condition monitoring and preventative maintenance.

6. Carry out planned maintenance program on a wide range of equipment with emphasis on compressor, generators, diesel engines & pumps.

7. Install and commission new equipment as directed.

8. Accurately input information into the Maintenance Management System.

9. Maintain comprehensive record and logs.

10. Assist other trades and disciplines as required within the limits and capabilities and experience.

11. Maintain fire-fighting and mechanical safety equipment in accordance with statutory regulations.

12. Work carried out, follows statutory and company procedures.

13. Operated as a member of the Emergency/Fire-fighting Team.

14. Ensure all work permits are in place before commencing work, and are cleared on completion before reinstatement.

22. To be familiar with and have an understanding of the Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.

23. TECHNICAL INTEGRITY:

24. Ability to deploy engineering & operational standards / procedures that meet both regulatory and safety standards.

25. Abilitytoidentify,investigate,auditandcontroltechnicalchange(withinlimitofdiscipline knowledge)

26. QUALITY ASSURANCE:

27. Ability to undertake work to meet acceptance criteria with respect to safety, technical integrity, cost and schedule

28. COMMUNICATION:

29. Clear, fluent and expressive use of verbal and written language to convey information and ideas.

30. Requirement to raise any non conformance to supervisor in timely fashion.

31. PLANNING:

32. Awareness of project / planning engineers activities.

33. Input into project /asset plans as required.

34. COST/BUDGET:

35. Awareness of completing all works within budget and schedule.

36. TEAMWORK/LEADERSHIP:

37. Ability to provide guidance and motivation to co-workers

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

39. Educated to ONC level or equivalent, successfully completed a recognised apprenticeship.

40. Previous industrial experience in the oil & gas industry working as a mechanical technician.
