Your new company: We are looking for support workers with the right values and attitudes to join a large provider of care in South Wales. They provide support to adults with learning or physical disabilities across Swansea and Neath Port Talbot.
Your new role: The role of support worker involves supporting the delivery of care to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and additional health needs. Responsibilities include providing personal and physical care according to individual care plans, administering medication, liaising with external professionals, and facilitating access to community activities. You will also support individuals' wellbeing through participation in arts and crafts, sports, shopping trips, holidays, and other activities. The role operates on a flexible rota, including short and long days, with shifts covering days, nights, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
What you will need to succeed: No prior experience required; however, a committed and motivated attitude towards personal and professional development is essential. Willingness to undertake training, support domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning, and create a safe environment are necessary. Calmness, non-judgmental attitude, and the ability to handle stressful situations are important. A full UK driving licence and flexibility to work various shifts are required.
