I am working with an international freight company who are searching for a Finance Manager to join their growing UK Office This will be a hands on position, which will be responsible for the team and business growth Responsibilities * Core Accounting & Bookkeeping duties * Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records * Assist in improving cash collection processes * Financial Reporting & Controls * Management Accounting - Accruals, Journals, Prepayments * Budgets, cashflow analysis * Post and reconcile all transactions in the accounting system * Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable * Prepare and maintain the general ledger * Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records * Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations * Perform regular bank reconciliations * Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner * Payroll Management * Process payroll accurately and on time * Ensure correct calculation of salaries, deductions, and benefits * Manage payroll taxes, statutory deductions, and filings * Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality * Credit Control (Initial Stage) * Support year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants/auditors * Support management with financial insights and ad-hoc analysis * Improve financial processes and internal controls as the business grows * familiar with ta...
