We’re looking to bring in a Mechanical Estimator to support a growing pipeline of rail and infrastructure projects for one of our clients.
This is a full-time contract role where you’ll be responsible for pricing mechanical packages from design stage through to tender submission.
This isn’t a role where you’re just handed numbers to plug in, you’ll be expected to:
* Produce accurate take-offs directly from drawings
* Build detailed bills of quantities
* Interpret specifications, ITTs, and technical documentation
* Consider installation, sequencing, and programme
* Engage with subcontractors for pricing and input
You’ll work closely with a hands-on Director and operational team, who will support on labour allowances and buildability — so you’re not working in isolation.
What we’re looking for:
* Strong experience pricing mechanical packages
* Proven ability with take-offs from drawings
* Solid understanding of specifications and delivery
* Experience working with subcontractors
* High attention to detail
Nice to have:
* Experience using Ensign
* Basic understanding of electrical interfaces
Rayleigh-based (some flexibility)
Travel and expenses paid
Full-time contract
