About the Role
One of the world’s most recognisable financial institutions is looking for a GCP Security SME with strong Wiz expertise to help drive the adoption and optimisation of a newly implemented CNAPP platform.
Wiz has already been rolled out across the environment, the focus now is on maximising its value, improving cloud security posture, and reducing operational noise through earlier detection and smarter filtering. You’ll sit at the intersection of cloud engineering and cyber security, working hands-on to deploy, configure, and scale Wiz across GCP and Azure environments.
What You’ll Do
* Deploy and configure Wiz across GCP and Azure cloud environments
* Drive API-led integrations and automation for scalable deployment
* Enhance security visibility and posture across the platform
* Filter and route findings effectively to reduce noise and SOC overhead
* Identify vulnerabilities early to prevent reactive “fire drills”
* Support workload security across containers, Kubernetes (AKS), and serverless
* Collaborate with Cyber teams to troubleshoot and resolve platform issues
* Champion best practices and challenge legacy ways of working
What We’re Looking For
* Must have strong hands-on experience with Wiz (deployment, configuration, optimisation)
* Proven experience in GCP cloud security environments (Azure exposure beneficial)
* Experience with API-driven implementations and integrations
* Strong understanding of CNAPP / cloud security tooling
* Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, serverless, and workload scanning
* Solid knowledge of vulnerability management
* Ability to operate as a senior, hands-on SME making sound technical decisions
* Confident personality; willing to challenge, influence, and push improvements
Nice to Have
* Experience with Wiz Outpost (self-hosted deployment) or cost optimisation
* Exposure to large-scale enterprise cloud environments
* Background working closely with Cyber Security or SOC teams
*This role is an initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension.
*Hybrid working, 3 days per week onsite in Sheffield.
