Baltic Recruitment is partnering with Danesmoor Group, based in Newton Aycliffe, to recruit multiple Manufacturing Operatives (Paint Finishing). Danesmoor Group is a leading distributor of kitchen and bedroom components, supplying the UK KBB industry for many years. PWS Paint Finishing offers automated and hand-sprayed paint-to-order services with a wide colour palette and high-quality finishes.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced paint finishing facility, processing bespoke products and colours for customer orders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Understand product specifications to identify defects or issues in production.
* Proactively correct minor defects; escalate issues when necessary.
* Prioritize workload effectively.
* Maintain high standards of product quality.
* Keep the workplace clean and adhere to policies and procedures.
* Work efficiently and adapt to changing requirements.
* Inspect equipment regularly for safety and mechanical issues, reporting failures.
* Take pride and ownership of work and environment.
* Communicate with internal departments and document production KPIs accurately.
Applicants: Essential Requirements
* Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings.
* Positive attitude and team spirit; adaptable to fast-paced work.
* Ability to lift/maneuver large items with assistance if needed.
* Attention to detail in inspection and color/material differentiation.
* Follow Standard Operating Procedures with minimal supervision.
* Problem-solving skills and process improvement mindset.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Basic PC skills and good planning abilities.
* Resilience and ability to work in challenging environments.
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations.
* Mathematical skills and ability to prioritize tasks for OTIF delivery.
* Collaborative work ethic with internal teams and suppliers.
* Ability to work independently after training and embrace change.
Desirable Requirements:
* Experience in a paint production environment is a plus but not essential.
