A welcoming school nursery in Jarrow is seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing practitioner to join their team and support young children in their early learning and development.

Position: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term Role – Early Years Practitioner
About the Role:
* Support children aged 3–5 years within a school nursery setting, following the EYFS curriculum.
* Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children can learn, play, and thrive.
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and independence.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, nursery colleagues, and parents to support children’s progress and well-being.
* Contribute to observations, assessments, and planning to meet each child’s individual needs.
What We’re Looking For:
* A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) in Childcare or Early Years Education.
* Experience working in a nursery or school-based early years setting.
* A warm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting young children.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A genuine passion for giving children the best possible start to their education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
