An established precision engineering business supplying complex, small-batch components to high-performance automotive and motorsport sectors is seeking a CNC Milling Shift Supervisor to lead a skilled team on a rotating shift pattern. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced CNC Miller with proven 5-axis machining capability and the ability to coach and guide others in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
The Role
As a key member of the manufacturing team, you’ll oversee CNC milling operations, ensuring output, quality and delivery targets are consistently achieved. You’ll provide day-to-day supervision of machinists, support production planning, and take an active role in problem-solving, training and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set and operate a range of CNC milling machines producing precision components to tight tolerances.
* Lead, support and mentor a small team of machinists, maintaining high quality and productivity.
* Allocate work, manage shift handovers, and assist in resolving production or tooling issues.
* Uphold Health & Safety and Quality Management procedures while driving continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience:
* Time-served Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering background.
* Strong CNC Milling experience including 5-axis machining within a precision engineering environment.
* Proven supervisory or team-leading experience in a CNC machine shop.
* Knowledge of Fanuc, Haas controls advantageous.
* Excellent communication, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
