At Sterling Home, our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented People Team Administrator to support the delivery of an exceptional colleague experience. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support across key people processes, including onboarding and offboarding, compliance checks, and system management. Handling sensitive information with care and confidentiality, you'll work closely with the wider People Team to support effective employee relations and help create a seamless and supportive environment for colleagues across the business. How you'll support the People Team: Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing contracts and employee documentation Assist with right to work checks and reference processes Help maintain accurate employee records and update the HR system Provide basic support to colleagues using HR systems Monitor and respond to queries in the People Team inbox with guidance Support the team with day-to-day administrative tasks Assist with employee communications and documentation Help track absence records and support payroll administration Learn and follow GDPR and confidentiality requirements at all times What you'll learn: How a People Team supports the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding The fundamentals of HR administration, systems, and record management How to ensure GDPR compliance and handle sensitive information with confidence How to communicate professionally with colleagues and respond to employee queries An introduction to employee relations and workplace policies How absence monitoring and payroll processes work in a business environment How to use HR systems effectively to manage and maintain employee data Key organisational, time management, and teamwork skills within a fast-paced business Your Learning Journey: You'll work towards an accredited SVQ in Business Administration while gaining valuable hands-on experience that will build your skills, support your development, and open doors to future career opportunities. Who we are looking for you join our People Team: We're looking for someone who is organised, eager to learn, and excited to begin a career within the People Team at Sterling Home. You'll have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a positive, proactive approach to your work. Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion, you'll enjoy supporting others and working as part of a team. No previous HR experience is needed - just a genuine interest in learning, growing, and developing within the role, along with a desire to contribute and make a positive impact.
