We are currently recruiting for Resource Scheduler Support on a FTC for 9 months starting from 1 October 2025. Purpose of role To work closely with the Engineering teams within designated region, to forecast resource requirements and ensure they are met.
To co-ordinate the planning, scheduling and allocation of all resources including internal and external labour, plant and equipment, as per the booking process to ensure the timely execution of projects.
To handle employed operatives across the UK, disseminating detailed project-based information supplied through booking process i.e. Task and tooling requirements, Project location, duration and accommodation details.
Main Responsibilities Project/Resource Scheduling
Overall responsibility for ensuring efficient scheduling of all resources and equipment with best possible utilisation of internal resources, and external suppliers (preferred and approved); Labour / Transport / Plant / Lifting Equipment
Work closely with Procurement colleagues, and internal business units to implement a new labour allocation process and ensure smooth recruitment, supply and flow of labour, information and best practice across the business.
Liaise with labour agencies and subcontractors that are on the preferred and approved procurement framework, to engage labour on UK projects.
Proactively support recruitment activities including the promotion of the colleague referral scheme, subcontractor engagement etc.
Liaise with business units across the Group to engage Beck & Pollitzer overseas colleagues on UK projects.
Comply with all relevant employment and safety legislation when posting workers abroad.
Maintain records of all labour and plant allocation and update schedules to ensure the workforce and plant are fully utilised at all times.
Ensure efficient management and control of the UK resource pool.
Manage, maintain and update resource allocation/planning system to ensure accurate data, producing reports and presentations if/when required.
Manage project booking system with the support of Project and Administration Support
Liaise with Engineering teams and Procurement Support to ensure a high standard of service as well as to identify and resolve Labour, plant or equipment issues that may affect Resource allocation.
Blanket Order Raising; may be required for external labour, plant or equipment using the appropriate systeminlinewithCompanyprocessesandprocedures,andwiththesupportoftheProject and Administration Support colleagues.
Ensure Labour, Plant, and equipment arrive in full and on time, to required quality, scope and specifications.
Management Information and Reporting
Maintain records and reports for resource allocation(labour, plant, equipment etc.)in line with Business, Health and Safety and legislative requirements.
Provide regular progress/status updates/reporting information to Engineering Managers and operate to the appropriate degree of competency across a range of internal systems.
