We’re working exclusively with a much-loved heritage retail brand known for its distinctive product range, premium store experience, and expanding presence across the UK and international markets. With a mix of own-store retail, ecommerce, and growing global wholesale channels, the business is continuing its journey of modernisation and operational refinement.
This is a key opportunity to join a tight-knit finance team in a broad and hands-on Finance Manager role. You’ll be reporting directly into an experienced Finance Director and will take full ownership of core accounting and reporting processes while supporting wider commercial initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2 years of industry experience, ideally gained within the retail sector. You'll need to bring a detail-oriented approach, technical rigour, and strong reporting capability to help elevate the finance function during an exciting phase of evolution.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Managing the month-end close process and producing timely, accurate management accounts
* Leading preparation of statutory accounts and supporting the year-end audit process
* Preparing and posting journals including accruals, prepayments, and stock adjustments
* Producing board-level financial reporting and delivering insights to senior stakeholders
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, with variance analysis and cashflow monitoring
* Ensuring financial compliance across UK and international entities
* Working with external advisors to support tax and audit requirements
* Supporting process improvement initiatives, systems optimisation (Xero), and reporting automation
* Assisting with international growth and financial oversight of new markets
We’re Looking For:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (2–4 years PQE)
* Industry experience in a product-led retail business – ideally multi-site or multi-market
* Strong technical grounding in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and audit
* High attention to detail with excellent Excel and financial systems skills
* Confident, fast learner with the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
* Adaptable and hands-on, comfortable in a lean team environment
