Working alongside the Scottish Government; Education Scotland; COSLA and individual local authorities, you will teach unions and equality bodies to ensure that ambitions to embed anti-racism and gender equality in education are effectively joined up with strategic SG ambitions. Provide the Programme Management and Secretariat functions for SG’s Anti-Racism in Education Programme. Ensure that progress is being made across the 4 workstreams that deliver the programme’s ambitions; taking in to account the requirements of the diverse group of stakeholders involved, in order to obtain buy-in for the programme’s aims. Provide the Secretariat function for the Gender Equality Taskforce in Education and Learning. Provide oversight on the review of the 2030 target to increase the number of ethnic minority teachers in Scotland’s schools.
